'Dohada', the name of Fumika Miyake's new square plate, comes from the Japanese word which describes the earth`s crust.

Created from white clay with a matte white glaze, this large plate is beautifully simple. Persimmon tannin has been added to the final glaze to create a lovely cracked finish.

Fumika Miyake is a Japanese potter who lives in Okayama Prefecture. While most of her works are tableware, intended for everyday use, she also creates vases and other objets d'art which have been inspired by forms and patterns found in nature.

Size: Roughly 7.5cm ; H7cm. Please note: as the artist has created all his pottery by hand, each piece is individual and varies in shape and size. Also, as each piece is glazed by hand no two pieces are exactly the same colour
