Hisashi Okawa

A cheerful world of Eighties block colours.

Hisashi Okawa is an illustrator living in Tokyo whose images are both playful and original.Their composition is simple, relying largely on flat brushes of colour, while the details of the people he depicts is so basic as to seem childlike. The effect is unfussy and fun, and we constantly find ourselves returning to his cheerful world of Eighties block colours.
