Etsuko Fukaya

There is plenty of energy to be found in Etsuko Fukya's finely-detailed etchings.

Etsuko Fukaya's etchings, measuring a maximum of 20 centimetres across, are unexpectedly small. Her love of all things delicate led Fukaya to abandon the oil painting she originally studied at Tokyo University of the Arts. Etching allowed her finer detail and more intricate lines; her clear joy in the discipline is clear in her work.
